This position will oversee general administrative, promotional, and financial efforts of BRC Ranch, Brahman Country Beef, and Brahman Country Genetics. A background or understanding of the beef cattle industry and farm to table industry would be a strong plus. Candidates must pass a criminal background check. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate cattle supply chain for Brahman Country Beef including scheduling dates with processors and customers to ensure beef is available for online store and brick and mortar store Coordinate BRC shows, including entries, hotels, scheduling, and promotional activities Coordinate BRC activities for the Houston Livestock Show Coordinate annual BRC summer youth show cattle camps Coordinate annual BRC Brahman Days fall event, which includes a 200-person dinner, concert and educational conference Assist with monthly genetic drops Assist with 2 online cattle sales Reply to email inquiries from customers regarding Brahman cattle, semen, embryos, and beef Coordinate BRC promotional materials Oversee budgets and profit/loss for all above events Process BRC cattle transfers Process BRC AI certificates Reply to Facebook messages Provide administrative management for 6 Facebook groups (post approvals, denials, member requests) Coordinate hospitality for approximately 2 to 5 ranch visitors per week Coordinate agri-tourism events, school field trips Job Requirements Very organized and able to plan events, budgets, and supervise others Friendly, likes to work with the public Attention to details, including financial detail in event budgets Self starter who can execute responsibilities with little to no supervision Able to organize projects and delegate tasks to others
REQUIRED SOFTWARE SKILLS: Proficient at Excel, Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs Facebook Email Mac computer Competent in web browsers and Google Calendar (Apple Calendar / iPhone Calendar) ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE SKILLS: We will provide some training on these programs but these programs are vital to the business organization. However, it is likely the candidate will have to spend some time on their own getting familiar with these programs. Basecamp - A project management software we use Shopify - Our online store platform Quickbooks Online - Used for accounting EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Preference given to applicants with B.S, or associate degree. High school diploma required.
